you should all have some respect. he is a hero because now kids see what can happen from running away. if you have or planning on having kids every kid runs away for their own reason might not be the best but they do . so all i gottta say is have some respect and if you are just going to right stuff about the child that nobody wants to see you have a pretty low life and pathetic one too

I agree with the writer previously that you cant blame this incident on the games. We as parents have to be responsible in raising our children. Yes kids are going to get upset with rules, etc but it has to be started at a younger age. Parents have to be involved with their kids. The problem now is that parents are working all the time and come home and they are tired and dont know what the kids are up to. Yes I feel sorry for this story but unfortately Brandon should have be monitored closely. It comes down with being more strict. Parents are afraid of that. It has to be when they are young when they start playing these games. Dont get me wrong games are ok but not addiction. If you see them on all the time that is an opening to your eyes right there and then. Its like adults going to gamble all the time it becomes an addiction. Alcohol the same thing you start to drink and then more and more you become an alcholi. I went through as a single parent raising my daughter at the age of 13 14 15 she wanted her way all the time. But you cant give in to them. Communication is a must with strictness. Yelling doesnt get you anywhere its all how you say it. Believe they will come around. Now we are the closest we have ever been. She is now 18. PARENTS; PLEASE FOLLOW THROUGH AND KNOW WHAT YOUR KIDS ARE DOING!

Let's look at how he died. They say died from chest injuries. The tree appeared to have fallen branches. So, he climbed a tree, a branch broke, and he fell and injured his chest and died. That's something that could happen *even if he didn't run away.* He could have gone for a walk in the woods by himself just for fun and done that. So his death had nothing to do with running away, and thus nothing to do with Xbox, end of story.
The media wants it to be hypothermia, so they can say he was so mad at his parents that he froze himself to death. Or, that he was in such a bad condition that he was compelled to risk his life climbing a tree to look for the lights of a house to shelter in. This is nonsense. He just had an accident, and it didn't have anything to do with running away.

Why not talk about the dangers of tree climbing. Give the kids lessons in tree safety. What is the world coming to?

The constant bitching from parents about ones social life online becomes depressing. If you want to keep your kid from running away, climbing a tree and falling, then freezing to death, let em play their videogames.

Believe me, theres a lot worse stuff than videogames. If he is hanging around friends from school, he's most likely doing drugs. Lock your kids up! tie them to a potty chair and make em game.

i will quote my comment as i think it still applies from the first original posting on brandon crisp:

theCakeisALie Says:

I wouldn’t call gaming necessarily ‘unhealthy’ behavior.

The parents in this case simply didn’t understand their child!
They even think he was addicted to it, I think the gaming was but one of the issues these parents couldn’t quite understand about their child. He could have had depression for years perhaps before he even saw a video game. I think the commentary about taking away the kids video game should have never made it to a single headline, because really this isn’t about video games its about parents who just dont understand their childs generation.

Now that we know how that he infact died and it wasn't from his xbox was I right?
