Guess who wants who to knock a bit of his sentence?
Conrad Moffat Black, Baron Black of Crossharbour PC, OC, KCSG, OC.
He’s, “hoping George W. Bush will grant him clemency during the U.S. president’s final weeks in office,”" says the CBC, going on:
“The Department of Justice in Washington has confirmed that Montreal-born Black requested that his 6½-year sentence be commuted.
“The Office of the Pardon Attorney received an application for commutation of sentence from Conrad Black,” a department official confirmed by email, says the story, adding.
Black is currently relaxing in a federal US vacation home in Florida, “following his conviction on charges of obstructing justice and defrauding shareholders of his former newspaper company, Hollinger International Inc,” says the story, adding:
“Black and three other former Hollinger executives — John Boultbee, Peter Atkinson and Mark Kipnis — were found guilty of fraud in 2007 for funnelling $6.1 million US from the media company.
“Under the U.S. Constitution, the president has an almost unlimited power to grant reprieves, a reduction in punishment, or pardons, which remove the sentence and the criminal record.”

Black has a neck like a jockey’s bollocks! They should leave him to rot (or should that be rut”?) with Bubba until he coughs up all the money he stole from honest people. If he hadn’t spat on his Canadian citizenship so as to become a ridiculous British lord, he would be serving his time in Canada with the chance of getting out in a couple of years. But, know-all and self-assessed as extremely wise, he stole from the RICH in the USA! How dumb is that? They should release Bubba and put Bush in the same cell as His Lardship Baron Black of Crossdress.
