McCartney, Guns N’ Roses, on MySpace

p2pnet news view | P2P | Music:- Do we live in totally different universes — Us and Them?

Today, new albums from Paul McCartney and Guns N’ Roses will “debut online on MySpace,”" says Reuters.

Where has Reuters been?

McCartney hasn’t done anything worth listening to since the Beatles disbanded, and  Chinese Democracy fron the digusting Guns N’ Roses is already online.

“Users of MySpace … will be able to listen for free to ‘Electric Arguments,’ the new album by McCartney’s side-project group The Fireman, and “Chinese Democracy,” the long-delayed album by hard rock band Guns N’ Roses, before the songs are in stores and at online shops like Amazon.com,” says the story.

BUT — although MySpace cadets will be able to play the songs on the bands’ MySpace pages, “they will not be able to download them onto their computers,” says Reuters.

We do we live in different universes, dont we.

  4. Jay Says:

Isn’t there FireFox add ons that allow you to capture myspace songs?

I plan on buying the gnr cd for the mere fact I want to see if Kayne West wines about gnr selling more cds then him next week. His new cd also comes out.

The only thing that may hinder gnr sales is that only Best Buy is selling it in the US.

Naaaah, but they are very close to discovering Irrelevance.

  9. Eric Says:

The Fireman album took less than 30 minutes to download off the MySpace page using the aforementioned Firefox plugin.

I happen to know someone who is a friend of Paul– the friend (who lives in Australia btw) has an extensive collection of traded MP3s and tons of burned bootlegs and rarities. Obviously Paul knows about this stuff and has not complained about it to him.

On the other hand, Paul has a lock on a certain healthy level of sales for anything he releases, produces, or defecates on.
