Yahoo notepad vs Google, MS
p2pnet.net News:- On the surface, it’s cool to have all this extra free storage, says Charles Bermant in the Seattle Times here.
He’s talking, of course, about the YaGoogleHot wars in which Yahoo, Google and now Microsoft’s Hotmail are trying to convince Net users that the New Google, Yahoo and now Microsoft Hotmail email apps are the way to go because each is better than the others.
Spurred on by Google, they’re all offering increased storage space but, “In reality, it’s just data waiting to be managed,” states Bermant.
“Whoever can harness this and make it useful – the Yahoo! Notepad is a start – will make a difference. Or as Microsoft used to say, Change the world’.
“The cool part of Yahoo! is something that was already there. The notepad allows you to scrawl little messages to yourself from anywhere in the world … This is where that 100 MB will come in handy.”
