Bush spy programme hearing today
p2pnet news view Freedom | P2P:- Today is the day the constitutionality of a federal law aimed at granting immunity to telecommunications companies involved in in illegal domestic surveillance will be argued.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) are co-coordinating counsel for 46 outstanding lawsuits in a class action centering on the George W. Bush government’s warrantless surveillance program.
The foundation says it’ll argue the, “flawed FISA Amendments Act (FAA) improperly attempts to take away Americans’ claims arising out of the First and Fourth Amendments, violates the federal government’s separation of powers as established in the Constitution, and robs innocent telecom customers of their rights without due process of law” at 10:00 am, 450 Golden Gate Avenue, Courtroom 6, San Francisco.
“Signed by President Bush earlier this year, the FAA allows for the dismissal of the lawsuits over the telecoms’ participation in the warrantless surveillance program if the government secretly certifies to the court that the surveillance did not occur, was legal, or was authorized by the president,” it says, going on:
“Attorney General Michael Mukasey (right) filed that classified certification with the court in September and is demanding that the cases be dismissed.
In the afternoon, the court will also hear the arguments on the future of Al-Haramain Islamic Foundation v Bush, “a case alleging that the government illegally wiretapped calls between the charity and its lawyers,” says the EFF.

The Bush administration constitutional crimes:
1) Abusive search and Seazure. Check!
2) Crual and unusual punishment and tortures. Check!
3) Indefinite emprisonement without due process. Check!
4) Conviction without trial by jury. Check!
5) Assasination. Check!
6) Rendition/extradiction to country who practice torture. Check!
Someone have to go to prison for this!
You do the crime you do the time! Right?
The only thing I am ready to forgive Bush and is acomplices for is spying on us because I believe
their motives to fight terrorists was genuine.
I have no sympathy for the terrorists but:
1) There is laws in this country and the law have to be folow no matter what overwise the entire place can fall apart very quickly. If the White house break the law why not me?
2) Because of the lack of due process, innocents people has been put in jail for nearly 8 years with no trial or illegally senteced to prison for crimes they never commited and without jury, attorney or due process of any kind in total violation of the US constitution. Some even has been tortured and even murdered.
According to a CIA sheep at Guatanamo 90% of the people they lock in there are not terrorists and have nothing to do with El Quada or the Talibans and actually oppose both like the rest of us.
The US law reserve a life in prison sentence when a constitutional violation and the violation of civil right
lead to death.

“The only thing I am ready to forgive Bush and is acomplices for is spying on us because I believe their motives to fight terrorists was genuine.”
It amazes me to this day how so many people still can’t see past their Dubya-issued 9/11 blinders, still believing the “Arab Terrorist” angle. People really need to wake up and smell the thermate!
The “War on Terrorism”, the Patriot Act, and all the rest were planned before 9/11…
…and 9/11 was the ultimate lie used to justify it all!
Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Gulliani, and the rest of ‘em, along with their cohorts in both national security agencies and international factions, should be the ones rotting in Gitmo.

Hear Hear, I agree with anon and devil’s advocate and then some.
- Old man Bush while head of CIA “refused” access to president at the time of any and all information on UFO’s, including access to free energy, zero point energy and much more … Jail Old man Bush and throw away the key
- Vatican and Jesuits did same, jail them too
- British bankers operating in USA, Canada, UN, IMF, and many other parts of that organization created 9/11 as a way to control the money, land and the world … jail them as well
- British monarchy as well
- while we’re at it anyone connected to all of them and their secret clubs … jail them too
this would solve 99% of all problems on Earth
Enjoy

“So, you want all of them get jailed?…new question…. ‘who will do it?’ (lol)”
Jail’s too much of an expenditure and a tremendous waste of resources I’d rather see used on people who deserve them. Just throw ‘em in a nice, deep, bug-infested hole and let ‘em rot.

… Oh! And I’LL do it!
(Forgot to answer the other question.)
