Ted Rogers — dead, aged 75
p2pnet news view | TV:- Edward Samuel ‘Ted’ Rogers, the founder of Rogers Communications, is dead at the age of 75.
Rogers was, “one of a kind who built this company from one FM radio station into Canada’s largest wireless, cable and media company,” the CBC has Alan Horn, chairman of Rogers Communications and acting CEO, saying.”Rogers continued to play an active role in the company, which owns the Toronto Blue Jays, five Citytv television stations across the country as well as the Rogers cable TV, wireless and radio and magazine businesses,” says the story.
His, “greatest expectation-smashing act was escaping bankruptcy, as his flagship Rogers Communications Inc. survived a parade of near-death experiences, buried under the debt amassed by its risk-embracing owner,” says the Globe and Mail, adding:
“Like most entrepreneurs, he ultimately wanted to dominate the markets he entered — and he succeeded beyond expectations.”

I think you got your details mixed up here. Ted Rogers did die today at age 75… his father (Ted Rogers) died at the age of 39. Part of your article refers to his father, the other part refers to him. You’ve got your facts all crossed here!!

If he died at age 75 today (2008), how could he have skills at operating a radio station in 1913? Correct me if I’m wrong, but the math doesn’t work. 2008 – 1913 = 95!
