Reprieve for Microsoft
p2pnet.net News:- Microsoft yesterday gained a temporary reprieve from the European Union anti-trust ruling.
"The European Commission said it had put the measures on hold until the EU’s top court rules on a request by Microsoft to suspend the punishment," says EUbusiness here.
This means that for the moment, at least, Microsoft can avoid offering a European Windows sans Media Player, something it was supposed to start doing today.
"Microsoft warned that it faced ‘irreversible’ damage if so-called ‘remedies’ imposed by Brussels were imposed before a decision is made on an appeal against the ruling," says the story
"The commission said that ‘in the interest of a proper administration of justice’, it had on Friday told the court’s chamber of first instance that it was delaying the implementation of its measures."

Bill Gates is a ‘nowaday’ version of every God from every religion.
2000 years from now, there will be a new bible, and it will be praised by all, in all countries, and people of all colours.
Bill Gates will, by becoming such a God, will single handedly stop all religious wars, because there will eventually be just one religion.
Instead of religious hatred, there will be a connection in all of us. That ‘connection’ will be accepted by the masses as ‘windows’.
All of the population will embrace these ‘windows’, and become one with each other.
Instead of being a ‘Catholic’, or a ‘Protestant’, or a ‘Jew’….we will all be ‘bytes’. Or maybe ‘bits’, I donno yet! (I’m not Nostra-whats-his-face).
The world will one day live in harmony because of the work of Bill Gates. We will, together as one big CPU, move forward through time and space.
Sure, there will be those who have ‘lower’ RAM. Those ‘tyrants’ will, of course, be taken care of. Granted, they may affect all the other people in ‘windows’, but that would be ’cause the other people didn’t wear ‘The Patch’.
Now that I have thought about it, I can see a problem with people that ‘patch’, and people that don’t.
People that don’t ‘patch’ risk infection to others, even though they themselves don’t think that they’re infected with anything. But I see the future where the ‘patch’ is manditory, even if it ‘takes away’ from the ‘windows’ experience.

I know he didn’t say exactly that, but I’m sure that’s what the guy meant!
