No charges in airport taser death
p2pnet news view | Off Topic:- Millions of people around the world were outraged when they saw four RCMP officers ’subdue’ a distraught man at Vancouver International airport.
Polish immigrant Robert Dziekanski, who didn’t speak English, died moments after the police officers fired taser darts, lethally charged with electricity.
“He fell to the ground writhing in agony and seconds later, RCMP officers were kneeling on his neck to handcuff him,” said p2pnet.
“Paul Pritchard of Victoria, on Vancouver Island, BC, captured the tragedy in a video.”
Dziekanski was supposed to meet his mother, Zofia Cisowski, “but had stayed on the wrong side of security barriers and was confused after a 14-hour flight and a 10-hour wait for his mother,” says CTV.
“This is a tragic and grievous incident,” then public security minister Stockwell Day declared.
“We want to find out answers that can prevent these things from happening in the future.”
Now, however, “B.C.’s Criminal Justice Branch is set to announce at a press conference Friday that the actions of the officers, who Tasered the agitated Dziekanski in the early hours of Oct 14, 2007, did not constitute criminal behaviour,” says the story, going on:
“Last month, Commissioner Thomas Braidwood of the Braidwood Inquiry said the RCMP officers connected to Dziekanski’s death would be subpoenaed to testify at the inquiry if they did not volunteer to take part.
“But the RCMP said their officers could not give evidence at the inquiry with the possibility of charges hanging over them.
“Since the four officers have not been charged the public should now be able to finally hear their version of events. The inquiry is due to meet next on Jan. 19.”
Zofia Cisowski is “very disappointed” and “angry” to learn the Mounties responsible for her son’s death won’t be charged, says The Province.
“I would like to see them charged with criminal charges,” she’s quoted as saying.
“She was incredulous when told that CTV News had reported that the Mounties would not be charged,” says the story.
Stay tuned.

Oh very cute.
Simply put: So anyone can go out, get a badge and kill anyone they want and get away with it. Very good example. Gotta remember that one.
This is the kind of police state that Canada has become or has been all along? Much worse though, this is the kind of system that RCMP and government are operating and are presenting to the world. Someone tell me what kind of a club they belong to and where does this kind of thinking and practice come from.
Since they are the “Royal Canadian Mounted Police” and stem from the Royal family does this not remind you of a certain death of Diana stemming from the British monarchy? Hence the Queen and her family maybe? Keep in mind the orders and practices flow down hill.
Therefore could it also be true that the monarchy and everyone working for them is part of a Satanic cult? Do you want to be a part of and represented by such a society?
Think about it.
Do some digging.
Come back with some real answers.

This reminds me of Rodney King. The Officers handled this absolutely perfectly.

Another victim of Taser.
What was the point of tasing this guy?
What about helping lost people in airport? What about caring about people in trouble?
Is it not the supposed job of the police to make sure everyone is safe?
We don’t need polices that do this kind of job and it is better to have no police. We can take care of ourselves.
If the police is just an organization of parasite then may be we the citizen should eradicate them just like any other parasites such as virus, worms, protozoa, flea, lice and mosquitoes.
Now she is going to sue The company taser and the Canadian governement and of coiurse lose.
So may be we should start blowing up things?

It’s been said that well over half of our Tazers deliver above safe levels of electric current into someone.
All these Tazer deaths just prove that taking this cheap way, and buying the old American ones is more dangerous then everyone thinks.

God rest his soul, but whenever I will be in an airport and some crazy man will be breaking windows and threatening policemen, I would like to see determined security measures. Someone wrote “how about helping people”. He refused, check the video and see the woman speaking Polish trying to help him, he was too busy setting his own rules. This is the profile of a terorist, only without weapons. Those who tolerate or aprove this behavior in the airport area, imagine a flying chair hitting your child or broken glass cutting the face of your daughter. Maybe you enjoy it. I don’t, therefore I thank the Police for protecting us.

re: Dan
I did check the FULL video and checked circumstances. Think you better talk to Polish lady before you comment.
The only terrorists in this case are the RCMP and airport security. They didn’t check with Polish lady, did they? They didn’t provide a translator and resolve the situation peacefully, did they?
After full day of not getting answers and being screwed around I’d freak too and if I received that kind of treatment while visiting any country I’d take out the cops, which I’ve done numerous times : P
Where do you get “imagine a flying chair hitting your child or broken glass cutting the face of your daughter.”?
I don’t see anywhere that this happened, Robert did his thing behind a glass wall. It’s your kind of twisted mentality and fear mongering that causes more problems. Go back to school and grow up. As you mentioned God it’s a good idea you check his rulers that you follow again before you comment.
What happened to Peace Officers serving Canadians in this country as opposed to Police and RCMP that are bought and paid for by corporations and government?
It is situations like this that enlighten me as NOT to teach police any martial arts [Self Honor / Self Defense]. I’d rather teach kids and willing adults so they can protect themselves against such attacks by terrorist cops.

@dan / shill
who were the police protecting in this situation an imaginary daughter/child ? Get real. These officers should be rotting a decade of their life behind bars the same as any citizen would had they committed involuntary manslaughter!
December 30th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
Well I can see that all you people really dont have a clue what you are talking about. It seems to me that you are making comments based on the media’s account of this investigation. Is Robert’s death tragic absolutely, it is. But what is the better answer?
What I would suggest, before everyone hangs the police out to dry, is to put on a uniform and work a night shift in Vancouver, or Toronto, or Montreal and see some of the people that police deal with. Most people go home and have a good restful night’s sleep not knowing what actually takes place in the real world.
What is the answer? Take away the tasers. So that means increased physcial confrontation with police and criminals. That equals more injuries to both police and the criminals. So…great….more police off the street. Just what this society needs.
Look at the big picture people when you make comments. Do we comment about our soliders fighting overseas when they get into a confrontation and someone dies. No, because these soldiers put their lives on the line and are fighting to make our country and world a better place. Kind of sounds like the police……

Well The police in my town will never ever do something like that! No way! Not in this circonstances!
Why the cop in this airport did this then AND WHY SHOULD THEY BE ALLOWED TO CONDUCT THEMSELVES LIKE CRIMINALS?
Cops who conduct themselves in this fashion are not cops but criminals! If the justice does not take care of this somebody will. This is thr choices.
Sorry but there is no excuse and We don’t need cop who conduct themselves in this fashion. Those who can not take the pressure of the job should be dismissed.
PERIOD!
