Supermarket censors birthday cake writing
p2pnet news view | Off Topic:- A New Jersey supermarket didn’t like a three-year-old boy’s name, so it censored his birthday cake.
When his father asked New Jersey Greenwich ShopRite to bake the cake with special writing on it, the store refused.
Why?
The boy’s full name is Adolf Hitler Campbell.
“Karen Meleta, a spokeswoman for ShopRite, said the Campbells had similar requests denied at the same store the last two years and said Heath Campbell previously had asked for a swastika to be included in the decoration,” says the Associated Press, which has her stating:
“We reserve the right not to print anything on the cake that we deem to be inappropriate. We considered this inappropriate.”

The Campbells’ other two children also have unusual names: JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell turns 2 in a few months and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell will be 1 in April.
Heath Campbell said he named his son after Adolf Hitler because he liked the name and because “no one else in the world would have that name.” He sounded surprised by all the controversy the dispute had generated.
Campbell said his ancestors are German and that he has lived his entire life in Hunterdon County. On Tuesday he wore a pair of black boots he said were worn by a German soldier during World War II.
He said he was raised not to avoid people of other races but not to mix with them socially or romantically. But he said he would try to raise his children differently.
The Campbells eventually got their first day cake, and decorated in exactly the way they wanted — thanks to a Wal-Mart in Pennsylvania, adds the story.
When German born Australian football star Andre Gumprecht showed up at the Central Coast Mariners club’s “Mad Monday” post-season celebrations sporting an Adolf Hitler-like moustache, he was, “slammed by Jewish groups and labelled ’stupid’ by Football Federation Australia (FFA) chief ben Buckley,” said p2pnet, quoting Agence France-Presse.
Gumprecht said he dressed up as Hitler in response to constant comments from team-mates.
“I thought, can I wear this?” AFP has him saying said. “I had mixed feelings to be honest, because in Germany you could go to jail.”

At least Sephiroth didn’t have millions of Jews killed. I agree with the store in this case; all they’d be doing if they said yes was supporting the idea that neo-nazi-ism* is acceptable.
*When their other kids are named “Aryan Nation” and “Honszlynn Hinler (Heinrich Himmler),” I think you can understand why I’d equate that.

That’s all right, they got Wal-Mart to make their cake for them. The same store that will not carry “Parental Advisory-Explicit Content” CD’s will make you a cake, no matter how offensive it is!!
