Well, almost.
In full, it reads: “Look at what the retards at EMI just put together!”
EMI, in dire straits, has, “officially launched EMI.com, a new way for the record label to eventually sell content directly to music listeners,” says Daily Tech.

Er, no thanks.
Under that is a long list of EMI sites which, presumably, do display the vaunted project.
So what’s it all about?
Well, not much.
The site doesn’t having anything for sale. Instead it, “serves as an information hub for music listeners,” says the story.
Oh.
It’s a “learning lab,” Daily Tech has digital special projects VP Alex Haar saying unblushingly. “It will help us gain even more knowledge about consumers’ preferences and choices.”
It’s an, “an experimental destination designed to deliver content, foster discovery, and tighten fan relationships,” explains digital music news.
“The broader roadmap is a bit difficult to decipher at this stage, though the label pointed to continued upgrades ahead. That includes widgeting functionality, ecommerce components, and exclusive content. ‘This is the beginning of a longer-term experiment,’ Haar continued. ‘In the coming months, we will continue to add content and features to the site’.”
Oh.
And they’ll have spent God knows how many hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars (sorry, pounds) on this.
EMI’s current worth is less than its £2.6bn of debt, said the Financial Times recently.
Don’t bother to stay tuned.
