Second marriage proposal for Bush shoe thrower
p2pnet news view | P2P | Politics:- There’s no news on whether or not journalist Muntadhar al-Zeidi, the angry Iraqi who launched a ’shoe intifada’ against George W. Bush, will accept a proposal of marriage from Amal Saad Gumaa, the daughter of Saad Gumaa, one of his admirers.
And while we wait, someone else has made a similar offer.
“Ahmad Salim Judeh says if journalist Muntadhar al-Zeidi is interested the family is willing to send one of their daughters to Iraq along with her dowry,” says the Associated Press, adding
The 75-year-old Judeh says doing so “would be our honor,” says the story, adding:
‘”He also said Friday that the 500-member clan had raised $30,000 for al-Zeidi’s legal defense.”
Stay tuned. 
Meanwhile, it looks as though he was roughed up after all, official denials to the contrary notwithstanding.
That’s what the investigating judge in the case says, “as a senior cleric in Iran urged others to wage a ‘whi’ against the US,” according to The Guardian.
Al-Zaidi, “had bruises on his face and around his eyes, said the judge, Dhia al-Kinani said,” according to the story, which goes on:
“Zaidi was wrestled to the ground after throwing the shoes during a Sunday press conference by Bush and the Iraqi prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki.”
He was indeed. And when you’re caught seconds after hurling shoes at the likes of hated politicians such as George W. Bush, you have to figure you’ll sustain a bruise or two.

in islam a girl cant be offered by the father without her permission, and by the way, if you read the stories abt the marraige offers, the girls stood by their fahters and are more than willing to marry the man who thre shoes at the satanic dog bush

I call that “being offered as their father’s property”. Although it’s not so much Islam as a clannish patriarchal society (a relic that does not belong in the 21st century). Cloistered at home with no way to meet men on their own terms, and under pressure to preserve the family honor, what are the daughters supposed to say? “No, thanks, he’s not my type”?
