Facebook ban in Montenegro state offices
p2pnet news view | P2P | Politics:- As of yesterday, sites such as Facebook and YouTube have been banned in all Montenegro state-run institutions.
Employees in government offices and the parliament trying to log on during working hours will be greeted with an ‘access denied’ message, says Reuters.
The block is being implemented because the office in charge of maintaining the government’s network says it wants to avoid a meltdown of its system from excess traffic.
“Montenegro, an Adriatic country of 650,000 that has posted significant growth in Internet use in recent years, has 14,100 Facebook users,” the story adds.
