The George W. Bush: if the shoe fits ….

p2pnet news view | P2P | Politics:- When George W. Bush leaves office in January, he’ll stand alone as the single most despised and hated US politician of all time.

He’ll forever live in the halls of shame immortalised by the fact he was reviled not only by his own people, but by entire nations around the world.

And one incident will stand as a metaphor for his time as the leader of the world’s wealthiest, most powerful country.

Deadly insult

It’s mine! No, it’s mine! Liar — it’s mine! You’re all liars. It’s mine!!

Iraqi reporter Muntadhar al-Zeidi permanently reserved his own spot in history when, in an insult that’s among the deadliest in the Arab world, he hurled not one, but two  pieces of footwear at Bush.

As a direct result, he’s received two offers of marriage — al-Zeidi, that is: not Bush — and the Net is replete with the likes of the Bush Shoe Game and Bye Bye Bush, as the Jerusalem Post observes. And one of the first games was Sock and Awe.

Now, a Turkish cobbler says he made The Shoes, although, “cobblers from Lebanon, China and Iraq have also staked claims,” says the New York Times.

But the kudos will probably go to Ramazan Baydan in Istanbul.

Although his claim has been impossible to verify, “A new run of 15,000 pairs, destined for Iraq, went into production on Thursday, he said,” says the story, adding:

“A British distributor has asked to become the Baydan Shoe Company’s European sales representative, with a first order of 95,000 pairs, and an American company has placed an order for 18,000 pairs. Four distributors are competing to represent the company in Iraq, where Baydan sold 19,000 pairs of this model for about $40 each last year.

“Five thousand posters advertising the shoes, on their way to the Middle East and Turkey, proclaim ‘Goodbye Bush, Welcome Democracy’ in Turkish, English and Arabic.”

One  al-Zeidi  imitator has already surfaced in the beginning of what might well become a trend and in Canada, only one question remains begging:

When will it be George W. Harper’s turn?

Definitely stay tuned. ;)

That’s more attention than Richard Reid’s shoes ever got. Just imagine if the reporter had been wearing a pair of those ;)

Muntadhar al-Zeidi is an Hero and should be defended and protected.

    Free Muntadhar al-Zeidi!

All the decent citizen of the world! Let’s defend him!

Now we need to catch Ben Laden and his pack of human scourge and lock them with Bush and his administration.

We can also add Carry Shitman, Tne Dentist Glueman and Baiwhol.

Hopefully thye will kill it’s other in the jail and it will be a good ridance.

I think an act similar to the chretien pie in the face (2000) would be subtle and effective.
