p2pnet Xmas: snowiest part of Canada :)
Hi all:
We’ve just opened our prezzies and mine (from Emma and Liz) was Oliver Sacks’ Musicophilia. I’ll be gettting stuck into that today. (But my real ‘present’ was a 1964 Martin 00-18 guitar acquired earlier in the year. What a sound!)
Meanwhile, I wasn’t planning on doing anything today, but I couldn’t resist the RIAA humbug post.
And on other things, Victoria on Vancouver Island in BC, Canada, is about an-hour-and-a-half from where we live and it has the distinction of being the snowiest part of Canada, says the Vancouver Sun.
“If the forecast bears out, the city known for its tulips — not its snow — will hold that position on Christmas Day,” it said.
Usually, we’re admiring blossoming cheery trees.
Well, the forecast did hold and the pic on the right is what we see from our back door, and I thought I’d share that with you.
We’re north of Victoria and our snowfall is/was even heavier.
Below are two young deer munching apples. During the summer my wife, Liz, spends a lot of time trying to find plants they won’t eat.
Then we go and feed them in the winter. heh.

So, everyone, I hope your Christmas is as pleasant as ours.
All the best …
Jon
