Jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard is dead
p2pnet news view Music:- Freddie Hubbard is dead.
And that’s sad, sad news for anyone who knows and loves jazz.
Widely regarded as the, “most gifted jazz trumpeter of the post-bebop ’60s and ’70s,” he died Monday in Los Angeles, says the Los Angeles Times.
“The cause of death was attributed to complications from a heart attack he suffered Nov. 26, according to Dave Weiss, his longtime manager,” it says.
“He influenced all the trumpet players that came after him,” The Guardian has Wynton Marsalis saying.
“We all listened to him.”
