Woman tapes fingers to fool immigration
p2pnet news view | Cool:- A South Korean woman gave the finger — well, fingers, to be accurate — to immigration authorities in Japan and got away with it.
She managed to get through their screening system by taping the tips of her fingers to fool a fingerprint reading machine, says Agence France-Presse.
“The biometric system was installed in 30 airports in 2007 to improve security and prevent terrorists from entering into Japan,”" says the story, adding:
“”A South Korean broker is believed to have supplied her with the tapes and a fake passport and, “officials believe many more foreigners might have entered Japan using the same technique”.

The preffered method of beating such a system is to use a thin clear latex coating rolled over the finger tip in a similar manner, cellotape is not the preffered method when attempting to evade the authorities although its very useful for shifting fingerprints to another location.
