ohhhh yah, i run Kaspersky 7, it kicks ass. Do not get Kaspersky 2009 cuz it conflicts with a lot of other programs. I had to uninstall it and reinstall previous version. :-/

There’s always one and this time it had to be you. What ficticious stuff are you talking about.

Jon should stay. He’s done a lot to expose the corruption in this area and the pedigree of that antispyware app isn’t relevant to the existence of this website.

Anyway, I’ve tried researching that app myself and I can’t find a definitive answer to that one; it’s kind of a grey area. I’d say run a better known one instead eg Kaspersky, Norton etc, as it’s likely to be more effective.

Not to mention your articles contain scattered, incomprehensible, and sometimes fictitious information (Albeit not on purpose).

Torrentfreak, wired, and so many other sites have replaced you already, and your place on these tubes we call the internet (interweb, snuggleweb, ect) has come to an end.

When you start putting advertisements in your footer that contains spyware masking itself as a spyware remover, it becomes quite evident.

So, first I’d like to thank you for the service you provide. As to the question should p2pnet stay or go I can only say this:- For purely selfish reasons I would say stay. If it is not taking away from your family life and you get some satisfaction from it I would say stay. If you get no satisfaction, it is costing you time and money best spent with your family or even if you thin it’s time to move onto something new I would say: – Can’t help you mate, it’s a decision only you can make but, I sincerely hope you decide to stay.

All the best for the future, whatever you decide.

I’d like to echo a statement made by ZDN:

We are definitely going through THE time where we need as many of the voices reflected in your site as possible.

Whether you think you may have “reached a limit” with P2Pnet or not, it is vitally important that P2Pnet and all sites of similar “philosophy” continue (if at all do-able) to help these voices accumulate and keep the Corporate Machine in check!

Had these voices not had a venue, we may certainly be living different lives right now.
Corporate interests were really starting to thrive before the Internet Movement, as they already owned all other forms of viable media. Because of sites like P2Pnet, the Machine in is a state of “regroup”, as it has lost the complete control of information it used to have.

Corporate interests would like nothing better than to see all the sites like yours simply go away.
As long as they don’t, we have a glowing chance!

No, Jon, P2Pnet.net has NOT “served its purpose”.
Its purpose, now more than ever, is to stay alive and add to all the other voices!

I know many people have voiced this, but I must say that I do feel that your site has has and still has an important place on the web.

I am an US citizen located in Tokyo, Japan, and actually am away from a lot of the junk going on in North America, and find the news that you report interesting and informative on what is happening in the US and Canada.

P2Pnet is one of the few sites, which I have constantly view across my last 3 jobs, and it would be a shame to see it go.

As for the trolls and shrills that occasionally plague the site, due to the nature of this site, I know that you can often be stressed from comments by ill-mannered people, who only interest is to serve their “evil sith lord” , or just anger other people in the comments section. But Always remember, as long as this site is “yours” and not run by an organization, you have the right to post what ever you like, and rejects comments from whoever you feel, does not contribute to the article. Maybe in the future, your choices may turn away some of your readers, but as long as they are “your” choices, then they would have been worthwhile.

I think that you can safely say that this site has been and will continue to be part of your legacy to your daughter- a legacy that any child can surely be proud of.
