p2pnet comment posts
p2pnet news view | Off Topic:- “What is happening Jon” – asks Mick in an email. “I try to post a comment with a url in it and p2pnet won’t let me.”
Mick was referring to his Reader’s Write under Japan P2P app Winny high court trial.
I’ve had similar questions from Surfer and Dreddnik and what’s happening is: WP is playing up again. It isn’t refusing all urls, just p2pnet’s. Go figure.
Bob Bryant, p2pnet’s long-suffering and unpaid tech guy, is looking into it and until he sorts it, if you have a post with a p2pnet url in it, either let me know and I’ll try and dig it out of the Spam list. Or send it to me at p2pnet @ shaw dot ca and I’ll put it up for you.
Cheers! And sorry about this …
Jon

I had mentioned it too, in a past article. I saved it, you commented about retrying, I did, it didn’t. You had offered to post it if I wanted to send it by email. By the time I could have gotten it together at that point, it was well down the page and would not have had very much read time before disappearing in to the virtual wilderness of electronic storage.

Other than in exceptional circumstances, no URLs in the Website field.
Cheers! And thanks …

if a domain is being blocked from posting links, or is too long, or has characters that mess up auto-linkwrapping, just use a free url redirection service like tinyurl.com
