‘Don’t call me a skank!’ says Canadian model

p2pnet news view | P2P:- Canadian model Liskula Cohen is suing Google to force it to name someone who called her a skank.

Says the Wikipedia, found via Google »»»

Skank may refer to:

  • Skank (dance), a form of dance related to ska, grime and hardcore punk
  • Skank (band), a Brazilian rock/pop/reggae/ska band
  • Skank (guitar), The technique of muting some strings yet playing the strings adjacent to the unmuted strings, typically on the offbeat and played by rhythm guitar and/or piano in ska music and its offshoots such as reggae
  • Skank the puppet, from The Ben Stiller Show

It can also be a considerably less than complimentary word applied to members of the fair sex.

Which is why Cohen wants to find out who called her one.

She’s the victim of a, “vicious blog entitled Skanks In NYC, which is hosted by Google-owned platform BLOGGER.COM,” says, appropriately, Vogue.

“I was shocked and embarrassed to see photo captions and commentary used to describe me as a promiscuous woman who filthy, disgusting, foul and a whore,” the story has Cohen, who’s 36, declaring.

“Defamatory statements describing me as a ’skank’ and a ‘ho’ affect my reputation and desirability for endorsing products.”

Adds the item:

“While acknowledging that it notoriously difficult to identify anonymous bloggers, Cohen’s lawyer Steven Wagner is confident that taking Google to court in order to get a name will ultimately prove successful.”

Shouldn’t be too tough if he sues Google in British Columbia where the libel laws are antiquated.

I haven’t seen the full story here but …
It’s pretty sad when little punks get on some blog thinking they’re part of the gangsta subculture while not knowing what it’s really all about and why it was started. If they do then it’s idiots that indoctrinated them that are fools. Someone forgot to remind them such lifestyles are a short way to a quick grave.
Trolls seem to be the online version of those gangsta wannabe’s

Google should probably never give out those names but there are ways to find ppl if one is smart enough.

    As someone said:
Attack me online, no problem. Go after my family, friends or my food and well being and I’ll find ya. I’ll duct tape you naked to telephone pole in gay part of town [the rest omitted due to explicit sexual content]

Not that i would actually condone such a thing but similar has happened. ;)

Give me a freakin’ break! You work in an industry where the purpose is to sell your body, fashion, looks and other superficialities. And you complain you’re being called a skank? Ok we can debate the terminology if you will. In my opinion you are a whore, just like Mel Gibson, Brad pit, Matt Damon, Pamela Anderson and so on. Hint, you don’t make your living selling your intellect now do you Liskula?

I say, ban Hollywood, ban modelling, ban fashion, and ban the cosmetics and commercial porn industries. Then perhaps the Liskula Cohens of this world would have to find a REAL job, one that is not dependent upon upholding her industry’s standards of anorexia, bulimia and other modifications of that “imperfect” human body.

I can only hope that Google respects the privacy of those who post opinions about whores like Liskula. If “celebrities” like her prefer only positive comments and think they have a right to sue over anything negative then may I suggest to her again: Get a REAL job!!
