@ Comeon...
oh you want a lesson do you?

it used to be that back doors were posted freely on internet since mostly techies had access to certain channels. when search engines came along one could look for:
backdoor [software name]
as internet evolved searches got more sophisticated and this info more hidden. now one must do search for:
exploit [software name] , backdoor, hole, code, ...
or know someone in the field or original coder.

famous case where person would not release code is PGP creator Philip R. Zimmermann as he was jailed till he did release backdoor to get out of jail.

how u say? go look up "Microsoft Gives Backdoor to Law Enforcement"
the other way is to use linux live cd for microcrap os
if you haven't noticed there's a crack and backdoor for pretty well everything

so, sorry to burst YOUR bubble :D

as for DPI: i suggest you do a much deeper study into what it does and how it does it, who Bell reports to, then who those report to etc., also Bell data storage centers
with all due respect you sound like a newbie ... go educate yourself

you have 3 yrs before planet x get's here ;)

I know what DPI is and bell just uses as an excuse to keep the labels off their back

and where is information on this back door?

How? you cant run software from a USB if the system is locked sure you could try DOS or safemode but drivers required for installing software are not loaded in SM and dos is ancient

UK is now officially the new East Germany. These Labour bastards will get booted out at the general election, probably by next june. Normal service will then be resumed, hopefully.

Down with MPAA, BPI, Lord Carter and NuLabour.

@ Comeoncomcast
u think so eh?
with all due respect: guess you haven't been reading the news and blogs
- even here in Canada Bell uses something called DPI [deep packet inspection] .. go to dslreports . com or look up what it actually does
- phone calls have been recorded by security agencies since the 70's, now they have full data centers for each city larger than 10k ... just in case of legal infractions :P
- guess you didn't know that all encrypted software under UN rules require a back door, or haven't you heard Microcrap worked with CIA for their Vista, it even has USB stick to get into any MS product :P
- as we know, what elites tell us is not what they do, or haven't you heard there's no corruption in government or corporations ... ya ok LMAO

England is much worse ... try talking to techies and users there

Lord Carter just sold our freedoms to the copyright lobbyists. Who's going to assassinate him first?

Lord Carter is just another politician on the take from corporate lobbyists. The overwhelming response from the public and technology companies were against government legislation. And thus, only the copyright industry was considered when a decision was made.

Evidently, the government no longer listens or cares for any opinion which deviates from their own and their entertainment industry master's agendas.

Oh Please!

First off,

if they '“Ministers intend to pass regulations on internet piracy requiring service providers to tell customers they suspect of illegally downloading films and music that they are breaking the law'
and send them an email via their ISPs email, it would mostly likely be filtered to go into the junk mail Hey, I dont want Corporate Spam =D

Second,

I wonder how they will be able to tell what traffic is what?
and most of it is encrpyted anyway, AES 268 I think it is

and third, (and now my favourite topic)

DNS! People in the UK, most likely would of changed DNS, http://opendns.com for example, and thus rendering any ISP filtering (with encrpytion) would render these 'attempts' to get peoples information and IPs for the labels Useless!!

Many people have said this

Dont spend the money artists get on trying to sue your own customers

It dosent work!

Filtering, and data mining is illegal in the UK, under their Data Protection act, which in turn is more, more serious than copyright infringement, and could get the State, and labels in lots, lots, of trouble!

We try to tell them!

This is ABSOLUTELY INEXCUSABLE!
To have Ofcom, British Ministers or any other body to regulate Our Internet is blasphemy!

We must stand up to them or we loose our privacy and rights in emails, phone calls, chats, family files and videos, pics and all communications.

We know what Britain is all about: security cameras, police up the wazoo, arrests for calling scientology a "Cult", banning protests even though people have a permit, banning sharing even privately made tunes, police being scientologists, police being paid off by big businesses, police being freemasons, police and security agency watch lists and anything to disturb and enslave the people.

What makes you think they won't arrest anyone on trumped up charges as they have been? Their statements of "In our opinion" doesn't cut it anymore.

WE MUST STOP THEM and QUICKLY or it will spread to Canada and everywhere!
