My Bloody Valentine. In 3d ;p
p2pnet news view | Movies:- The American 3D remake of 1981 low-budget Canadian slasher film My Bloody Valentine, “knows what’s expected of a 3-D horror film,” believes Times Online.
“Its violence is perpetrated by a gas-masked psycho wielding a pickaxe, a weapon that can strike from any number of angles,”it says, going on:
“A surprise attack from behind results in the blade suddenly emerging from the victim’s face, an eyeball stuck on its point. An up-and-under swipe can yank off a person’s jawbone and send it flying, a plume of blood following behind. And then there’s the straightforward hammer blow from above, which leaves the pick buried in the victim’s head while they stagger around for a bit. These manoeuvres and several more are delivered with relish.”"
Look good?
Maybe not.
“The trouble with My Bloody Valentine 3-D is not the gruesome violence – this is a horror movie, after all,” says the Toronto Star, adding:
“In fact, genre devotees will likely be impressed with the film’s old-school approach to mayhem, rare in our mostly timid era of CG and PG-13 scares.
“No, the trouble is that after that first gouged eyeball, there’s not a whole lot further to go.”
Now you know.
