RespectCopyrights.org spoof site
p2pnet news view Freedom | P2P:- “After reading your article on RespectCopyrights.org we got so angry with that site (we also saw it on Recording Industry V People) that rather than just bitch about it, we decided to have some fun with it.”
So said Jim in an email to p2pnet, asking, “Doesn’t ‘Respect copyrights” sound more like a command given from a person looking down at you?”
It do.
Jim was talking about our post on the RIAA’s latest Private Eye Dtecnet, a Danish firm hired to replaced the fired MediaSentry.
We’d featured a clip from the tacky Dtecnet Respect Copyrights site showing a couple consciously set up to look distinctly shady.
So Jim & Co switched it with new pics, including the one on the right, for their new and much more informative site with the opening text »»»
If you`ve found your way to this Web site, it is likely because your dumb ass Internet service provider sold you out and you decided to search google or – if you`re a student – the college or university you attend, has (most probably: wrongly) notified you and that your Internet account has been used to illegally copy and/or distribute copyrighted movies or television shows. The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) is dedicated to fostering a lucrative mobster like online environment where consumers have few choices for viewing the movies and TV shows they love without fattening the already fat ‘fatcats’. The MPAA along with the RIAA morons stupidly try to censor content on the Internet. If you received a notice of copyright infringement, you likely have questions about why did they screw up and pick your name out of a hat. This site is a spoof of the MPAA sponsored one but we will still try to provide you with some answers and information. Note: we are not lawyers so do NOT take any advise here as legal advise but with a pinch of humor instead.
Make sure you click What do I do now? and read the choices, among which you’ll find a handy list of Bit Torrent Sites / indexers and discussion sites.
And don’t miss the other topics.
Good on ya, folks.

HAHAHA!
Good one! And you are right… MUCH more informative compared to the original one sided MPAA sponsored site.
The site actually looks better with the switched graphics!

I think the reason they switched graphics was because even though they “dis-respect copyrights” they can get screwed if they used the original graphics.
Good job guys!
