File sharing F911 is OK: Moore
p2pnet.net News:- Fahrenheit 9/11’s Michael Moore says the spread of his anti-Bush documentary on p2p file sharing networks is OK with him.
“I don’t agree with the copyright laws and I don’t have a problem with people downloading the movie and sharing it with people as long as they’re not trying to make a profit off my labour,” he’s quoted as saying in the Sunday Herald here.
“I do well enough already and I made this film because I want the world, to change. The more people who see it the better, so I’m happy this is happening.”
It’s also OK with a site that’s opposing Moore tooth-and-nail.
“Let’s see if Moore really wants this to be about the work and NOT the money,” says MooreWatch’s Jim Kenefick. “Steal this movie … Let’s get as many people to see this for themselves, and for free, as we can. Mikey, if you want to sue me, I’m not hard to find.”
Kenefick had posted a BitTorrent link hoping to provoke Moore.
Clearly, that didn’t happen and in the meanwhile, according to the Sunday Herald, “Despite up to 150 people simultaneously bagging free copies of its most valuable property at any given time 24 hours a day, Lions Gate says it has no plans to oppose the practice.
“While unwilling to make any official statement likely to further provoke Hollywood’s heavy hitters, the film company appears to have fallen into line with its director’s laissez-faire approach.”

Fahrenheit 9/11 has already generated over $56 million. When will these idiots realize that file sharing doesn’t hurt movie/cd sales?
It doesn’t surprise me that these fools think that they are cutting into Moore’s profits from the movie by posting a BitTorrent link. These idiots support Tony Blair and Bush…clearly they’re not intelligent people.

I find that public and private P2P networks have a large impact on CD and DVD sales, in that they promote and expose their product to an audience that most likely would not have seen, heard or afforded to enjoy it. Which then allows these people to discuss the product in their circle of friends and creates more interest in it. This is something that we have all seen over the last few years in the music industry. Why do you think that big name Jam Bands and the sorts allow private taping and distribution of their live music as longs as there is no monetary exchange. And besides, it should be up-to the individual artist to decide if their product(s) should be freely traded or not. In the end we will all see what works and what does not work. Long live the freedom of choice!

Where can i download the flick. I want to watch Bush make an ass out of himself.

Actually the movie is about he made asses out of everyone else. Bush is nothing more than a frat boy puppet, and Cheney is the puppet master. Don’t under-estimate the power of white protestant males from the south.

So, you were one of the peeps he has investigated and caught with the hands in the cookie jar on film?? A Ken Lay fan, I presume??
It is not the love of MM, but the other side’s more extremist views that are exposed as a result of his films via the spin-doctors of the right…

Come on people, wake up to yourselves.
What do you want the man to say? If Moore said he had a problem with people dowloading his film,(which secretly he would) it would make him the biggest hypocrite and would go against everything he supposedly stands for.
