Facebook instruction for mums and dads

p2pnet news view | Off Topic:- Do mums and dads need lessons on Facebook from a university professor and his sister so parents can, “help kids reach their full potential”?

If you reckon they do, you’ll be happy to learn, “parents can enroll in a free course at Stanford to learn more about Facebook,” says a site purpose built for, well, the purpose.

“The course instructors are psychologist Dr. BJ Fogg of Stanford’s Persuasive Technology Lab and BJ’s sister, Linda Phillips, a mom with kids from college age to 5th grade,” says Facebook for Parents.

“Parents can also sign up for a free newsletter about Facebook, created especially for parents with kids using the service.”

Dr BJ Fogg & Linda Phillips will teach a course about Facebook at Stanford. Designed for busy parents, the course will meet on Thursday evenings:

Class 1 – Feb. 19: The ABC`s of Facebook: New user to fanatic

Class 2 – March 5: Ten steps to protect loved ones on Facebook

Class 3 – March 19: Friending, posting & updating: Life skills for the future

Class 4 – April 2: Five ways to stay ahead of kids on Facebook

An optional lab comes before each class, where parents can work hands-on with Stanford students who will coach them in using Facebook.

Anyone who thinks they need this probably does. ;)
