Who cares about “Big Music” anyway? It sucks.

There are so many musicians (yeah, that’s right- musicians, not “artists”, not “entertainers”, not “stars”) out there making a living the old fashioned way, touring small clubs and theaters and making a name for themselves through word of mouth and freely traded music.

Many of them invite their listeners to tape and it’s not uncommon to see mike stands in the crowd.

I’ve gone to see a number of bands I had only heard a couple of tunes from and for the most part, I’ve been impressed.

Perhaps it is because of file sharing that this trend is happening?
I’ll use myself as an example…
I hear a song on the radio, and I like it. In the old days I’d have to go buy the cd to listen to it.
Lotsa times the song I wanted was the only half decent song on the cd. I was basically bigtime ripped off!
Now, I can listen to other tracks. If they’re all just a remix of the one I want then to hell with it!
If there is good stuff, I’ll buy it. But I ain’t never gonna buy a cd based on one song ever again!

P2P lets a buyer listen to the other tracks, and decide for himself if he wants to buy the cd. If you’re a ‘one hit wonder’ then P2P isn’t in your favour.
If you are half decent, then people will listen to your songs, buy your cd’s, buy your shirts, and go and see you in concert!

Not if Big Music keeps Suing it’s customers and when the cd buying public finds out the Truth about how the major labels treat the artists and customers then I predict when the music fans do learn the truth, Big Music is finished!!!! Question ???? Why don’t the P2p sites have links on their front page to ALL the Anti Riaa sites on the net????? Under the heading of Learn More About The Music Biz Image all the millions of people who would Learn that their are People on the net who are Fighting and boycotting the Majors Labels for all the Sh*t they have started !!!!! Why no links????
