Michelle Obama in Vogue. Literally.
p2pnet news view | Off Topic:- Already Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle, is on the cover of Vogue, a famous fashion magazine which lives off a weird kind of voyeurism.
Given that Obama is supposed to be all about people, it’s interesting that his wife’s first major public appearance would be in a publication that’s a huge advertising vehicle promoting events and products only the very rich can afford, interspersed with the occasional article.
The non-rich read and drool.
“I love the fact that Michelle Obama is on the cover of American Vogue’s March issue,” says a Times Online report, going on:
“But can we please jettison the odious term used to describe her: ‘Mom-in-Chief’? There’s something so icky about it, how it combines corporate-speak with parenthood. I can’t really put my finger on it and, please, before anybody shouts about my denigrating the role of mother, understand that this is not about downplaying how challenging and important raising children is.”

well obviously the Obama’s would be plastered all over the media one way or another… That’s going to be the paps main focused this year, doesn’t matter if she agrees to the magazines/papers or not… they might as well just go with the flow rather than hiding and land up like princes Diana…

Dude, trust me! vogue is just like any our magazine, their nothing special… in my own experience, marketing is about perception and who it appeals to, Vogue is just another crock of shit to guys like me… (probably Michelle Obama’s favorite or maybe she didn’t care at the time) The only difference is what is advertised in them and the way the information is presented…
Trying to put the first lady in any other context such as what?…loaded? or Cosmo… what ever these morons are reading these days would just diminish her authority over people and make her look….just another M.I.L.F. ??
We the people determine the value, because we buy the shit… Not because they sell it and just decide the price for us! After all they wouldn’t charge as much for a magazine if people didn’t read them, they’d be out of business by now wouldn’t…

She’s a celebrity, ya know. I can’t remember if Hillary or Laura made the cover of Vogue but it’s unlikely. Maybe Lauren Bush before the wedding.
