This steaming pile of poo will never fly for these Big Media pricks and here’s why:

- It will never make it to the classroom in the first place
- If it somehow did, a few little kids will get brainwashed and become good corporate zombies when they grow up and perhaps work as RIAA lawyers or something (assuming the RIAA is still around of course).
However, the vast majority will learn about this whole corrupt mess from an early age, realize what’s going on and completely rebel against Big Media and want nothing to do with them and their poxy ‘products’. Ever.

Big Media own goal if ever I saw one.

Maybe the schools should be teaching kids that politicians should not steal, molest pages, ask for earmarks, but honor the constitution, and not use the court system (the third branch of government) to harass people.

I am again amazed to the core at what corporations will do to protect their income streams. Now I have no way of knowing if this is true or not, the gist of the article. There is enough smoke that there has to be a fire somewhere, so I’ll take it on faith that it probably has at least a core of truth to it. Especially when considering the public actions already known that the major labels pull.

What is for certain, is that it takes a long time to get the public ire going. When it goes far enough, the public will respond with a grass roots movement that gains steam on it’s own, like a roller coaster. When that happens, for the generation, it isn’t forgotten and many will remember it all their life and live their lives with the influence and insight it has given them, be that good or bad.

To my estimation, the major labels, the movie houses, and many other copyright defenders are beginning to approach this trip line. Maybe it’s just me as an early adopter in many things that feels this. I am reassured time and again, that some belief or action I do is adopted by others for their own reasons independently. That later I run into the same conclusions and the same responses by others to something that has already been settled in my mind as my path of reaction.

So too do I believe the day is coming for these of the copyright enforcers to be painted with a tarred brush of ill opinion by the public. If and when that happens, those self interested groups laws they have had changed for their benefit won’t help them at all. People will at that point refuse to have anything to do with the products by those companies.

Now maybe you believe this speculation to be all self bloated pumping of the ego on my part. That’s ok if you do, that’s your opinion on the matter. Just as I have mine, I am sure you have your own. Still time and again I’ve seen some evidence that leads me to my beliefs.

I look today at the statements of markets where games have taken over the public’s fancy for entertainment. I look at the games houses claiming their doing great in these days of bad economy while everyone around them is claiming the opposite. While games may indeed support the music industry by licensing a particular tune for the background on their game, it’s far less in volume than the market would be for wholesale music in all it’s various forms and styles.

The day comes…

The only “music rule” of the RIAA, is that every few years they buy themselves another copy”right” extension.

Also, not to take offense to what Biff said (this IS very slimy of the RIAA), but if he really believes that kids/teens actually BELIEVE what their “taught” in school, he’s sorely mistaken.

1. “Abstinence-only” sex ed utterly fails
2. The entire “Just say no” blather utterly failed
3. Every so often, some disgruntled teenagers bring weapons/explosives into their local indoctrination-mill, and try to burn the place down.

If anything, the “music rules” bullshit will just create ANOTHER avenue for youthful rebellion — which, to my way of thinking — is a good thing.

It’s likely going to be a matter of a couple different factors in this whole battle.
1. the atitudes of the parents, whos kids get stuck reading this shit.
2. the INTELIGENCE of the parents of same kids.
3. the inteligence of the kids who have to put up with this shit in school.
If your a RIASS believing cow, you deserve to have your kids brainwashed by this BS!!
If you know better…….well, you know better, and so do your kids!
