Torrent is a technique for information storage and retrieval. As such it is not legally different from a web page or CD. Copyright law allows you to make private, non-commercial copies. When you make a copy on a publicly accessible media — regardless of whether it is a web page, your own file server, — or a torrent — you are across the line. The copy you have made is certainly non-commercial, and just as certainly: not private.

The Copyright owners have simply not pursued their issue in the proper manner.

ya know what really screws ifpi , the fact these TPB guys look really , ( no offense guys) stupid and retarded. LOL, that honestly don’t bode well for that they are like mafia organized crime crap, add to that i posted near bottom of his page 3 major points as i have done last few days and didn’t even get to the ITS not art part.

They come off literally as a bunch a kids trying to do something but ….anyhow good luck to them. while i don’t use that site many do.

now what any reasonable judge has too do is to look at the facts , and the political climate and decide what he will rule on. Noting that while hes not a politician what he does will and could cause some problems locally.

I will shutter to see what happens with a loss,for TPB in sweden. Has there been a run on eggs and pies yet?

if tpb loses, can i then sue the cartels and the ifpi for killing my “only” way of distributing my music? and by the same arguement can conicle sue them for killing a distribution network that they use for getting ubuntu out to people?

Although things are looking good for TPB right now, I think my biggest worry is that they’ll lose anyway, and we’ll all never hear the end of the self-congratulatory gloating from the entertainment cartels.
