U2 No Line On The Horizon, online at $4

p2pnet news view Advertising | Music:- Want to spend $4 for U2’s complete No Line On The Horizon album?

Legally?

No problem.  Just head on over to Amazon where, as we  post this, it’s  going for a mere $3.99 at a saving,  says the site, of $6.90.

Of  course, it’s been on the P2P networks for Lo! these many weeks.

But never mind,  eh?

It was slated to go on sale officially today but, it was available to download quite a while back thanks not to file sharers, but getmusic.com.au, said p2pnet, quoting the Sydney Morning Herald as saying the site is run by at Universal Music Australia.

The U2 fan blog, U2log.com, published a screenshot showing it had bought the album for $19.80, says the story, adding:

Universal Music Australia did not respond to calls asking how the track went up for sale early.”

How long will this latest sale last?

Who knows? (And who cares? ;) )

Maybe if U2 offered $4 to download the album and give it further listening I would consider it, similar to the pay-you-to-download method used by http://www.mystimuluspackage.org/stimulus/

I’ve heard only 3 songs via YouTube (as I don’t use BitTorrent or filesharing applications) and… $4 is enough to make me listen to the album objectively, maybe once. But I won’t keep it, nor would I give the $4 back!

  2. David/ddbann Says:

I am getting it right now FREE & LeGAL at Spiral Frog, I just saved $4.00

  3. Jon Says:

    Spiral Frog David?

    Spiral Frog?

    You’re joking, I hope.

But then, I know you’re not.

    :sigh:

    Cheers!

I mean I am not a huge U2 fan by any stretch, if it’s not in the MP3 format that don’t bother me. I will probably give it a listen a few times
at most, I get to hear what all the hype is about for myself, and move on.

$4.00 I can spend on something else.

Jon, I never joke about Free & Music ;)

  5. Dreddsnik Says:

I’m not the boss of anyone, but if you are participating in the boycott, I
strongly suggest you don’t visit the link our resident rental purveyor has
    posted.

If we are serious about boycotting, even a click can get them ad revenue,
( which of course, none goes to the artists anyway ).

  6. Jon Says:

    ^^ Dead right, Dredd.

    Harken to what he says.

    Cheers!

  7. Reader's Write Says:

That’s like spam. Every time some music is mentioned that is new or someone has news on, David comes up with a come on to his site. Spam has a negative connotation and I have no interest in going to a site that supports major labels in any manner. It’s called boycott for a reason.

  8. David/ddbann Says:

Spiral frog or imeem or Qtrax are NOT my sites. Nor is Frostwire which i frequently mention AS WELL.

  9. David/ddbann Says:

I only comment on stories I am intrested in and have an opnion on. I mention the sites and methods I use ONLY on stories that they are applicable to to present my opinion on the story posted.

  10. www.eZee.se Says:

I like U2 (esp some of their older songs…few far and inbetween but they do have talent) heard this, not worth the $4.

Bet they had to drag Paul McGuinness kicking and screaming to get this to price less than $10 online,
that fat b**tard really is one of the greediest people on the planet.

as for their leak, couldnt have happened to a better band IMHO because of their stance on P2P.

    Cheers!
