Viacom vs Jon Stewart and Twitter

p2pnet news view | Cool:- Yesterday, VentureBeat had comedian Jon Stewart explaining the intricacies of Twitter.

Has to be funny, right?

In his Daily Show segment “For the uninitiated, here’s how Twitter works,” he says: reportedly, that is — you’ll see why a bit further down.

Then, “— I have no f***ing idea.”

[Note: We didn't  put the ***  in, but we think spelled out in full, it's Fugging, referring to an ancient art first developed by an,  "historically prominent group of European bankers, members of the fifteenth and sixteenth-century mercantile patriciate of Augsburg, international mercantile bankers, and venture capitalists like the Welser and the Höchstetter families," as the Wikipedia describes them. Their family name was (and probably still  is) Fugger.]

He goes on to explain, “I have no idea how it works — or why it is.”

The story also has Daily Show tech correspondent Samantha Bee saying, “It’s no wonder young people love it [Twitter or  Fugging] , according to reports about young people by middle-aged people.”

“It’s hilarious stuff, check it out below,” suggests VentureBeat.

But no Fugging way because alas, “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Viacom.”

No need  to stay tuned.

I can just imagine an underpaid, low-IQ’ed, knuckle dragger surfing the web looking for infringing content against Vaicom/WMG/InsertAssHatAssociationHere, ..

so they can ‘ring the bell’. ‘I got one !!’ (this is where said knuckle dragger collects his 3usd/infringement find).

    sigh

    oh, and stw

  2. Robert Says:

try thecomedynetwork.ca if you’re in Canada and you can watch The Daily Show all you want, that’s what I do.

  3. Reader's Write Says:

Or wait 2 minutes and it will be back on youtube, if there aren’t already 10 copies of it already.

  4. hackers/pirates of the world unite Says:

if you want a crappy mp4 stream , ironically if they increased quality it still could be smaller then what pirates usually give out BECAUSE its a proprietary codec they don’t like releasing unless its x264 which makes hte size 3 times what xvids/divx are for what 30% more resolution

WHICH when im paying for bandwidth and storage ill take the half sized same resolution proprietary codec and you could ii suppose get a pirated app and have fun storing 2 TB on your 1TB drive, LIKE OMG that’s a lot a tv or movies don’t even figure music

  5. hackers/pirates of the world unite Says:

AND yea if they want to have a commercial in the middle im ok wiht it or at the begging or end.
THATS a trade off i wont mind if its free to me.

any more then that forget it , remember im paying for the distribution via p2p and storage medium NOT the creators.
