What world does this guy live in? he might as well have said “We want to continue with our extortion scheme by scaring old ladies and kids. We have gathered money, and we like it, so we will continue until the last penny is extracted”…. If this is the case, than sue Harvard students.

1. If that’s the “business of deterrence”, then, wow….real smart, and well thought-out (not.)
They’ve “deterred” an entire generation of teens, most everybody who’s a real music fan, anybody interested in technological innovation, Internet-freedom advocates, public-domain advocates, etc. etc. at nauseum — from ever respecting, trusting, or valuing what they do ever again.

Nice one, RIAA — sue yourselves into oblivion!

If you go to lawyer and have money, the lawyer will sue anyone, to get your money surely, and to get the other fellow’s money too, without the client suspecting. It’s done under the nose of a judge, who is also a lawyer and used to do the same thing as a lawyer. A perfectly legal scam.

Feel sorry for RIAA, being the primary (and stupid and stubborn) victims, the big losers in the scam. Of course, some RIAA executives may be getting some of the cash back from the lawyers. If in doubt, read about the Wall Street and the Bush lawyers.
