Wal-Mart, medical health professional

p2pnet news view | Freedom:- Soon, Wal-Mart will have its hands on US medical records.

As the Obama administration begins investing billions in health information technology, “Wal-Mart is using its size to bring high-tech medical records to US physicians,” says the Associated Press.

The program will be offered through the company’s Sam’s Club discount-warehouse division, which caters to small businesses,” says the story.

“A formal launch is expected this spring.”

And why not?

All kinds of American corporations — including the likes of advertising gargantuan Google, which has just decided to start profiling users — are already taking care of bidnes on behalf of the US medical profession.

A Wal-Mart spokesperson says the company is partnering with computer giant Dell and others to launch an electronic health records package for doctors, says AP.
