p2pnet.net WiFi News:- France Telecom’s Wanadoo is to begin selling a computer router offering home broadband users WiFi Net access and eventually, voice calls and video-on-demand.
Wanadoo’s $150 Livebox will enable multiple computer users within a 30-meter range of the box to access the Net at broadband speeds of 512 kilobits per second, says a Reuters story here, going on that Livebox will be sold in the United Kingdom and France starting next month, with Spain and the Netherlands to follow.
"In the future, Livebox customers will be able to use their Internet connection to make phone calls utilizing voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology and, further out, download films that can be watched on a personal computer or television," says Reuters.
