The bottom line is that the DCIA always infers and implies that it speak for the p2p industry, to the edge of legality. They are spo desperate to promote themselvs as the voice of p2p when the industry has declined to particpate from the very beginning, opting to have its own voice, free of the arrogance and hubris of Sharman. No one ever asked them to speak for the industry, with the exception of Sharman. They are nothing but carpetbaggers. In fact, if you ask the DCIA who is on its board of directors, as I have, the answer will be that there is no board of directors. Therefore no one has any real say as to who is running the organization and the agenda. What kind of organization is that? It's one that seems to exist to secure a fat and secure paycheck for its officers.

Please feel free to contact the DCIA at 888-864-3242 to confirm that this response is authentic: 1) The DCIA is organized into three Membership Groups: Content, Operations, and Platform. Each Membership Group has equal voting rights. 2) The DCIA now has 21 Members and is actively expanding its Membership. The top priority for recruitment is ability to contribute to industry development. 3) Each Member company pays dues equitably based on a percentage of revenue with a cap. 4) The DCIA speaks for itself and its Members collectively; it does not speak for individual Member companies or other parties. 5) The DCIA’s articles of incorporation and by-laws are available to qualified prospective Members, and the DCIA welcomes and encourages rigorous due diligence.

I'm a business owner and don't make one penny off of my customers by giving them something they never asked for. I resent any company for any reason putting things into my computer I'm unaware of. I'm sticking with K-Lite

"In case no one noticed from the ads in their software, Morpheus is in it for the cash."

Like they say, "Right now Morpheus earns its money by distributing two other pieces of software,"

I use WinMx and Klite (more winMx that Klite lately) but I don't have a problem with someone making money from something like Morpheus if they can find people dumb enough to buy it. It is called operating a business.

In case no one noticed from the ads in their software, Morpheus is in it for the cash. Stick to Kazaa Lite, Shareaza, WinMX, Ares P2P and other TRUE P2P developers who do what they do to advance a critical and innovative technology, not so they can retire fat and shiny.
