UK ministry links to Japanese porn site
right
p2pnet news view | P2P | Politics:- An arm of the British government has suffered its second online porn embarrassment in only two weeks.
The UK interior ministry homepage linked to a Japanese porn site, a government spokesman has admitted, says Vancouver Island’s Nanaimo News.
“It was a link from the Home Office website to the Technical Advisory Board, which is an external website,” Agence France-Presse has a ministry spokesman saying.
“It is their website that was hacked and re-directed to a porn site.
“We were alerted today, we took immediate action, we removed the link and we are now investigating.”
Two adult-rated features
In the first embarrassment, British home secretary Jacqui Smith (right) admitted she’d “mistakenly” used her parliamentary allowances to pay for two adult-rated TV features, said p2pnet, quoting the BBC.
Or as Bloomberg News put it »»»
U.K. Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, under fire for claiming taxpayer-funded expenses for pornographic movies watched by her husband, should be allowed to get on with her job, Prime Minister Gordon Brown said.
The “sensational revelation” that Smith’s hubby used “taxpayers’ cash” to view soft porn flicks, “is not, in itself, a hanging offence,” said David Hencke in The Guardian.
She was, “facing far more serious allegations: that she spent £116,000 of her second home allowance to, among other things, pay the mortgage interest on her main family home in Redditch,” said the story, adding, “She is now under investigation by the parliamentary standards commissioner. She may not have broken the rules, but it shows the rules are broken and in need of urgent reform.”

“She may not have broken the rules, but it shows the rules are broken…”
Funny how…
- big, gaping holes like that could remain in even the original draft of such rules.
- statements like that never seem to result in the closing of such holes.

This has been going on for years and proves the corrupt mentality of politicians who have an expectation of enrichment when they enter politics.
