Quebecers, with their inferiority complex, pass laws like Bill 101

Those of them who know English a bit could participate, but then they will misunderstand something, then whine to their provincial government.

To prevent that whining and lawsuits, firms choose to exclude Quebec from such contests.

But there is a positive thing about this: less telemarketing calls.

"Surprise! Quebec excluded from Apple’s billion app contest"

It is usually because firms do not think the market is big enough to justify translation costs.

We too have a new project in progress. it is to flush out all the parasites from the recording and movie industry. It is a lot of work since there are entire corporations of just parasites.

Parasites! parasites! parasites! every where preaching profanity advocating murder and sin like the beast of the appocalypse. This is disgusting!

But we can and must get ride of them. All of them. We must be the archangels who will eliminate this very serious world wide threat more dreadful than El-Quada and Ben laden.

We can not afford to have all these corporations of parasites roaming arround ruining our moral standard, riping off people and damaging our societies.

Surprise! Quebec excluded from Apple's billion app contest
http://communities.canada.com/montrealgazette/blogs/tech/archive/2009/04/10/surprise-quebec-excluded-from-apple-s-billion-app-contest.aspx

Isn't this song starting to get old?

Apple is counting down to its billionth app downloaded. As a promotion, they're doing a draw for people who download an app between now and the billion mark. Contestants can win a bunch of Apple stuff.

And guess what: Canadians can participate, but not Quebecers, according to the official rules.

I'm not going over this again, as I already have in the past. This time it's a chance-based contest, not a test of skill, so it's understandable that Apple would not want to give the Quebec government a percentage of the prize value, as mandated by provincial rules.

But it's clear that to the Quebec government, being different from the rest of Canada comes with a needless price for its own citizens.

I just keep asking myself: who or what exactly are these sweepstakes laws protecting?

Clearly whoever wrote this has never been given any form of writing education/training. This is so difficult to read.
