Steve Jobs on the mend
p2pnet.net News:- Apple Computer boss Steve Jobs is recovering from surgery to treat a rare form of cancer.
“This weekend I underwent a successful surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from my pancreas,” Jobs wrote in an e-mail to staff, quoted in the The Mac Observer here, going on:
“I had a very rare form of pancreatic cancer called an islet cell neuroendocrine tumor, which represents about 1 percent of the total cases of pancreatic cancer diagnosed each year, and can be cured by surgical removal if diagnosed in time (mine was).”
While Jobs, 49, gets over the operation, Apple will be managed by Timothy Cook, executive vp of worldwide sales and operations.
Jobs also runs the Pixar Animation Studios.
