Billy Bob to Jian: Kiss my ass

p2pnet news view TV | Music:- “I told a deejay to kiss my ass,” Thornton finally shrugged. “The fact that it was news astounded me.”

Thornton is, of course, Billy Bob, and the DJ was/is the CBC’s Jian Ghomeshi.

For anyone who’s been living in a cave the last few weeks, Billy Bob Thornton likened Canadians to mashed potatoes without the gravy, and then turned tail and ran for the hills when, surprise surprise, people were outraged.

Now, “It’s the gift that keeps on giving,” says the Toronto Star, going on »»»

The YouTube hits for Jian Ghomeshi’s interview-gone-horribly-wrong with Billy Bob Thornton are now approaching the two million mark. That’s well over 15 minutes of fame for 13 minutes, 40 seconds of airtime, a good portion of that awkward silence.

It was the first thing out of Jimmy Kimmel’s mouth clearly not under the same topical constraints Tuesday night, when a considerably more agreeable Thornton sat down to talk about … well, something else. Anything else.

“I told a deejay to kiss my ass,” Thornton finally shrugged. “The fact that it was news astounded me.”

He has a point, I guess. It isn’t exactly news that Billy Bob Thornton lives on another planet.

So true. So very true.

Billy Bob was opening for Willie Nelson who, as far as we know, hasn’t had anything to say about the incident.
