Stephen Hawking ‘very ill’

After fighting a chest infection for several weeks, he was today taken to hospital in Cambridge by ambulance, it says, adding:
“Hawking cancelled an appearance at Arizona State University on April 6 because of the illness.”
Hawking, “has met his Waterloo,” said p2pnet last year, adding:
“And he’s happy about it. He’s accepted an appointment as a research chair at Waterloo`s Perimeter Institute, founded by BlackBerry inventor Michael Lazaridis.
“Hawking is scheduled to visit the Waterloo-Ont.-based Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics this summer and give at least one public lecture.”
Th CBC has Perimeter spokesperson John Matlock saying he didn’t know whether or not Hawking would now be able to come to Canada.
