Here's an example of a student taking his own initiative to learn about copyright, the ethics of it, and what part it should play in his future: Joey Teow’s Weblog - a year 9 student of St. Mary’s Cathedral College of sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He gives a link to the blogs of his peers who are also exploring their own ideas about it.

Its mine, its copyrighted, and unless you give me your candybar, you wont see my copyrighted creation…” Ok Im joking a bit about it but this is really disgusting. Sure Goebbels would have been proud of this “teaching” material…

One of the biggest cases in file-sharing history ended last week with The Pirate Bay Four sentenced to huge fines and jail time. Today it is revealed that far from being impartial, the judge in the case is a member of pro-copyright groups – along with Henrik Pontén, Monique Wadsted and Peter Danowsky. There are loud calls for a retrial.
