Yahoo sued over BB flames

p2pnet.net News:- A California lawyer who was apparently flamed on Yahoo message boards has opened a class action suit against Yahoo.

Stephen Galton says Yahoo has, “unfairly protected people who post negative messages on its bulletin boards and falsely advertised that it prevents such abusive messages,” says a Reuters story here.

“It wouldn’t be prudent for us to comment on this pending lawsuit,” Yahoo spokeswoman Mary Osako said in a statement.

Trying to get someone’s name because they insulted him online is stupid…this guy is an idiot.

I wonder if he’s going to try to sue me now too. ;)

But an awful lot of “idiots” have got very rich this way.

This is the first time I have ever seen a case in which a lawyer tries to make a class action suit out of his own frivilous claim.

I would have had a lot to say about what i think about this lawyer – who I won’t mention by name. I don’t want to get P2Pnet – or even myself – added to the lawsuit. Unless a site operator deletes all IP addresses from its logs (very few do) anything you post online can easily be traced back to you.

Naw this dude is after Yahoo cause thats where the Money Is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting insulted online by people who dont know you then suing them? How lame and stupid this guy must be.

  5. Reader's Write Says:

Gosh golly! You’re not suggesting a member of the legal profession would lodge such a claim purely in the interests of, well, self-interest are you?

    Jass,

I was sitting on a tree branch last night, just,.. a – thinking – about – you,… and the tree was comforting,…. so I did not suspect that looking at the neon-sign had any effect on me,… thinking to myself that even though I am not the only person who has lost their MOM somehow and found that Opra fits as a foster MOM for me and many of my friends who have lost their MOM’s as well,…. and IT ALL HAPPENED WHILE WATCHING HER TALK SHOW AS A COMMON VEIWER,…. LIKE OUR OWN IMAGINATIONS REPLACED THE PAINFUL REMEMORIES OF THE FUNERAL AND STUFF WITH OUR OWN RAINBOW OF COMFORT AND YOU WOULDN’T BELEIVE THAT THEY HAVE ALL ACTUALLY CLINGED TO OPRA. WELL I KIND OF REFUGED TO A SAFE PLACE ON EARTH FROM THE PRESPECTIVE OF A HOMELESS PARAPALEGIC AFTER MY DAD DIED THE MEMORIES OF US SITTING UNDER THE DRAKE SIGN WITH THE SEARS TOWER GLIMMERING AT THE TOP LIKE THE MOON LIGHT OFF OF A LOWER LEVEL OF THE NEIMAN MARCUS BUILDING,.. AND I FELL FAST ASLEEP WHILE I WAS LAYING DOWN ON A TREE BRANCH AND AT ABOUT FIVE-FOURTY-FIVE THIS MORNING THE SUNLIGHT PEARCED MY MOONLIGHT SLUMBER , ALL THE SUN YOU WILL EVER NEED FOR A RAINBOWRAINYDAZE OUT ONTO THE LAKE
