Could it be that they know themselves if you got the choice, you're not going to allow your data stolen just so they can serve you ads you don't want to begin with? Phorm's biggest problem is how to get around the objections so they can make a shit load of money. Notice they are not offering to pay you for your surfing habits. Nor do I hear the big foo-fah-rah anymore about those extra services that were being offered to those served ads by Phorm, such as spyware hunters that were actually for free to begin with. I got news for ya. I don't want ads. Not one. If I want a product I will search for it. What I don't want is the pest industry that is constantly fighting for your attention to their interests. Their definition of what constitutes privacy and what you expect to be as privacy are rarely the same because they are at cross interests.
