		<description>Interesting that Google has not attempted to jump into this argument, even though it may be in their interest to do so.  Google claims to support a torrent site&#039;s right to operate, and has made some bold statements in the past about that, yet, it seems to only be their &quot;takedown&quot; procedure they emphasize lately.  Almost looks like they&#039;re using that insignificant detail to quietly avoid comparison to TPB.

The Pirate Bay may have ridiculed the DMCA takedown requests on their site quite boldly, but what needs to be highlighted about that is, sending DMCA requests to countries outside of the US is totally foolish and inappropriate, and any US group that did that SHOULD HAVE been ridiculed and treated like the idiots they were.

There&#039;s nothing on record about TPB refusing APPLICABLE takedown requests from those who were legally entitled to do so.  The fact that they honoured the few of those they actually received should&#039;ve been something an honest judge would take note of.</description>
