It wasn't a CAM (camera copy of the screen). It was a digital file and a very good one. Probably from a studio DVD. Starting with Jericho's second season, TV has been using Pre-air releases of the first two or three issues of a season. It works to gain ratings. If you watched a CAM of Star Trek's latest I will bet you went to see it on the big screen and took friends, The same ones you told how great it was when you watched the CAM. Let's be real. Most of the CAM'S OUT THERE ARE JUST LONG TRAILERS. There is no way a washed out, dark video with squeeky audio and someone's head blocking the most important sceens in the movie or the time he had to cover up the camera and the pic goes black for tem seconds.
Magicians use Misdirection alll the time to move your attention from the important thing to watch to what they want you to see. Are you watching the hat or the rabbit?

the Dark Night was distributed probably close to 300 million times, that million, worldwide.

the Dark Night cost 104 million to produce/can/distribute to the theatre.

the Dark Night, (as of this post) has grossed 1.3 billion dollars already.

I proactively file share 120gb/mo of copyrighted material, SPECIFICALLY copyrighted to the MAFIAA.

the indie stuff, we all pay for, kinda part of the 'pirate code', we buy the apps/music/videos from our brethren, we have morals.
:)

Eat my shorts Dan 'The Joker' Glickman, you tard, oh and btw, Star Trek XI is already on the file sharing networks, so, have a nice day.

they seemed to glaze over the fact the fact that the overall acceptable rating for the opening was 39%.

heres how I see it going down.

a) movie gets leaked (from insider, again), MAFIAA has a shit fit because their perfectly orchestrated circus act of publicity leading up to the release is totally derailed.
b) fuck, shit, fuck.. instead of our well planned bullshit, we gotta come up with some other bullshit before people find out the previews are great, but the movie fucking sucks.
c) have a press conference to bullshit the media that there 'will be over 400 different endings, showcasing different endings in different countries', and the ever favorite, default fallback bullshit, 'the workprint is NOTHING like the final movie, there is still alot of scenes to add yet'.
d) fire that fuck at Fox who had the balls to download it and write a review on the movie. (he even wrote a bullshittly good review!) (bullshit like? sp?)
e) get Jack to go on record at a press conference backing our bullshit up with some of his own bullshit, ad nauseam...
f) get the bitches we pay off at CNN, NYT et al, to run this shit before everyone finds out the movie sucks.
g) cry rape because the movie ONLY opened @ 40 million, instead of like Iron Man @ 100 million. all the while comparing a GOOD movie to a 38% acceptable rating movie.
h) shit, fuck, motherfucker... fucking sheeple found out the movie sucked before we could fleece enough of them.
i) fuck it, blame piracy.

So let me get this straight......this movie has been leaked online, not once, but twice; both times by hollywood insiders. Despite this, it's gone on to make 35 million dollars on its opening weekend-----and they still have the balls to blame people with video cameras for all their problems?

...cant they just stfu (greedy fuucks)? why must it always be one more dollar, on top of millions...as if they never saw a movie for free at a friends house or something. a family member's perhaps. according to their faulty logic, if one doesnt pay to see the film, then the industry and themselves suffer. so if you see a movie at someones house and didnt pitch in on it you might as well be a 'pirate'....they all need to be pushed off a cliff imho...

I wouldn't pay to go see that garbage movie. I have no interest ion it. I never did like the X-men comic books to begin with.

I won't look at it.

But if a friend downloads it and asks me to watch one night would i? Maybe or maybe not. I won't go out of my way for it.

Is that a lost sale?

I'm sure they will still cry about the movie making $20-$30 million less than expected, and use the Pirate Bay as a scapegoat anyway.

The funny thing is, I don't think any of us are upset that they are raking in millions upon millions of dollars (after all, they are the ones who risked investing millions to make the movie, promote it, etc.). But the fact that they are being dicks about it and trashing the people who still want to see the movie, just stirs the pot and pisses thousands of potential customers off enough for them just to download it and stay away from theaters.

Perhaps the mpaa should be equally paranoid about public radio stations as well. I say this because I got to hear the entire plot on a local news radio broadcast.
