Download a Mitsubishi Colt! (No joke)

p2pnet news view P2P | Advertising:- Whoa! Now this is the way to distribute something online !!!

And this is the way to advertise!

Japanese motor maker Mitsubishi has unbuilt a new 2009 Colt and uploaded it, says Terra.

The parts — all 30 of them — are stashed in banner ads, web sites and p2p file-sharing apps such as eMule, eDonkey, BitTorrent and the like, says the story.

The winner will be the first person ever to get not a music file, but a car, for free by downloading it. ;)

The promotion, aimed at the the Barcelona Motor Show which starts on Friday, will run online only, says Terra.

Would-be winners have to register at bajateuncoltgratis.com to get started.

In an aside, will Mitsubishi soon be sued for copyright infringement a la Cat Stevens and Joe Satriani by whomever owns the Henry Mancini Peter Gunn theme?

The hook to the music behind the YouTube ad sounds suspiciously like it, with a minor variation. ;)

what program do I use to reassemble that car?

  3. Alter_Fritz Says:

does it work like normal p2p?
that is, nothing is stolen but only an additional copy is made!

How many cars will there be in the end?

“potentially millions” of them like in the court paper lies from Holme Roberts & Owen Lawyers Mr. Reynolds and Ms. Burton?
