Forget ‘Day after Tomorrow’
p2pnet.net OT News:- It looks as if the recent movie the Day after Tomorrow was the Day before Yesterday – that’s to say, off by a degree or two. It has the world snowed in. Literally. But:
- Heat waves will become more severe
- They’ll occur more often
- They’ll last longer
So says a new modeling study by two scientists at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado, as reported in PhysOrg.com here.
Heat waves in Chicago, Paris, and elsewhere in North America and Europe will become more intense, more frequent and longer lasting in the 21st century. “In the United States, heat waves will become most severe in the West and South.”
PhysOrg.com is quoting from Science magazine which says model results show an increase in heat-absorbing greenhouse gases intensifies an unusual atmospheric circulation pattern already observed during heat waves in Europe and North America.
“As the pattern becomes more pronounced, severe heat waves occur in the Mediterranean region and the southern and western United States. Other parts of France, Germany and the Balkans also become more susceptible to severe heat waves.”
The study compared present (1961-1990) and future (2080-2099) decades to determine how greenhouse gases and sulfate aerosols might affect future climate in Europe and the United States, focusing on Paris and Chicago. They assumed little policy intervention to slow the buildup of greenhouse gases.
During the Paris and Chicago heat waves, atmospheric pressure rose to values higher than usual over Lake Michigan and Paris, producing clear skies and prolonged heat. In the model, atmospheric pressure increases even more during heat waves in both regions as carbon dioxide accumulates in the atmosphere.

Don’t you understand? Global warming explains everything?
Too hot? Global warming! Too cold? Global warming! Too wet? Global warming? Too dry? Global warming! The governor of New Jersey is gay? Global warming?

global warming and heat waves are the cyclic result of a ice age cycle which may be coming. What happens is he heating subucts saltwater to the bottom of the oceanic currents like the gulf stream that keep europe temperate, slowing the currents. When the current stops, the temperate nature of European and English lattitudes erode and thus Europe freezes.
That’s the theory anyway, about every 10,000 yrs.

So, why can ‘t we have some Global Warming in our part of the US????? If it was real, why is North Dakota having one of the coldest Summers on record?????? And, why was our record high temperature here set in 1936 when it got to 121 degrees before the wackos invented Global Warming????????????

Haha.
Try this: Open internet explorer. Bring up google in your browser and type ‘global warming’. Now click on the EPA link and read about it. Oh, and just to clear things up, noone ‘invented’ global warming…
