WWiSE’s WiFi standard
p2pnet.net News:- WWiSE, a technology group whose members include Airgo, Bermai, Broadcom, Conexant, STMicroelectronics and Texas Instruments, is planning a new WiFi standard.
A cost-efficient and robust two transmitter solution in 20 MHz achieving 100 Mbps throughput is feasible, it says in a .pdf here, going on:
"The unified design extends to all combinations of bandwidths and transmit antennas, and offers maximum spectral efficiency in every configuration" and, "All modes are based on extensions of the existing 802.11ag OFDM framework".
