Mozilla Sunbird beta release
p2pnet.net News:- Is your browser Mozilla Firefox (or something else ; ) do you use Mozilla Thunderbird (or something else ; ) as your mail client, and , do you want a calendar application based on Mozilla?
If you answer in the affirmative, you’ll probably be inetrested in The Sunbird Project – a redesign of the Mozilla Calendar component.
“Our goal is to produce a cross platform standalone calendar application based on Mozilla’s XUL user interface language,” says Mozilla, emphasizing that although Sunbird is the project name, it’s not official and could change.
Mozilla also stresses that Sunbird is still an experimental preview with bugs and is “a little bit rough around the edges”. Thus, at this point, it’s recommended for testing purposes only.
If you’re still interested, download builds for Windows, Linux and OS X here. They’re the first to feature the new default theme, new logo and the customizable toolbar functionality.
And speaking of the new logo, it’s Mark Carson’s brainchild, chosen by popular vote.
Some of the other entries are pretty cool too. Go here for a look.
