Microsoft axes games unit
p2pnet.net News:- Having already chopped its Japanese xBox game, Microsoft is still wielding the axe.
True Fantasy Live Online went down when Bill and the Boyz decided "The MMORPG genre, across all platforms, has become an incredibly crowded and competitive marketplace," as Game Spot said at the time.
Now, "Microsoft Corp.has closed a studio operation that made some of its sports video games, cutting 76 positions, a spokeswoman said on Friday," according to a Reuters report here which goes on:
"The unit, part of Microsoft Game Studios, made team-sports games ‘NFL Fever,’ ‘NHL Rivals’ and ‘NBA Inside Drive’ for the company’s Xbox video game console."

Good, now I wish EA Sports would die too. These sports games are annoying. Same thing every year.
