The Jack and Dan show

p2pnet.net News:- The entertainment industry and with it, the studios, was the loser in the Grokster / Morpheus case.

Naturally, Hollywood spoke – through its enforcement units, the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) and RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). Their bosses, Jack Valenti and Mitch Bainwol, respectively, made the actual statements.

But wait – Good Old Jack Valenti?

A while back he also issued a statement on the death of 321 Studios, killed by Hollywood.

This was curious because Dan Glickman, and not Valenti, is now the MPAA’s president.

Is it that he just can’t let go —– or is there so-far unannounced dissention in the ranks of the major studios over who officially fronts for them?

Stay tuned.
